Designed with tapered long edges, CGCs Sheetrock Ultralight Firecode X Drywall Gypsum Panel allows for easy joint reinforcement and concealment using CGC Sheetrock or Synko joint treatment systems. Each panel is printed with the UL Type Designation, ULIX, for easy identification by building inspectors. This combination of fire safety, reduced weight, and ease of installation makes the Ultralight Firecode X drywall a preferred choice for projects that require both fire resistance and cost-effective solutions.
- Light Type X gypsum panel achieve all of the strength and performance characteristics as standard 15.9 mm (5/8 in.) Sheetrock® Firecode® Type X Gypsum Panels at a significantly reduced weight
- Classified for fire resistance and can be used in the most widely specified UL fire-resistance-rated wall, column, floor-ceiling and roof-ceiling assemblies where Type X or Type C panels are required
- The long edges of the panels are tapered, allowing joints to be reinforced and concealed with CGC Sheetrock® or Synko® joint treatment systems
