In addition to its structural protection, National Gypsums Gold Bond EVOLVE XP Mold/Moisture Fire-Shield Gypsum Board is manufactured with durability and sustainability in mind. Its fiberglass mat surfaces provide increased resistance to surface damage during handling and installation, while its mold- and moisture-resistant design complies with ASTM D3273 and ASTM G21. The board also contains recycled content and supports green building initiatives. Its a practical option for projects requiring dependable fire and moisture performance.

• Type X core is fire resistant and an approved component in specific UL fire-rated designs
• Consists of a mold-, mildew-, moisture- and fire-resistant, Type X gypsum core specially formulated to be up to 20% lighter than 5/8 in. XP® Fire-Shield® Gypsum Board
• The heavy PURPLE face paper and the gray back paper are 100% recycled and are resistant to mold, mildew and moisture
• Can be used as a tile backer in dry areas or areas with limited moisture, such as toilet or sink areas, and wall and ceiling areas above tile in tubs and showers
